Charles Hauser acquires the dairy of the Lieu in 1981. The cheese dairy of the Place refines and sells all Vacherins Mont d’Or du Lieu. From there, a great adventure begins to arrive today with several points of sale in Lausanne and Ecublens.

The cheese dairy is distinguished by the production of Vacherin Mont d’Or. It employs 6 people in low season and 18 in high season.

The cheese factory produces 120 tons of Mont d'Or AOC vacherins. 88 tonnes of Gruyère AOC, 6 tonnes of semi-hard cheese in addition to caochons, yogurt, flans, cream, serac, butter, double cream and much more.
